According to the Centre of Disease Control and Prevention in 2020, "approximately one in five high school students and one in 20 middle school students currently use e-cigarettes." As parents of middle and high schoolers, what do we know about this trend? This presentation goes over: What is Vaping? Where did it come from? What exactly do you "Vape"? E-Liquids: What we know Adverse health effects Side effects of vaping Consequences A developmentally appropriate, engaging, and interactive presentation delivered by a subject matter expert provides research-based facts on vaping. Living Skills in the Schools aims is to bring credible, age-appropriate and pedagogically proven substance abuse prevention programming to students in K-12 and their parents. Our speaker Chris Pasquale holds a Master Degree in Mental Health counseling, is a Master's level Certified Addiction Professional and is an International Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Our presentation is free but to continue supporting our cause to provide education to parents and students; a minimum $25 donation, would be greatly appreciated. We have already reached over 56,000 students in the 2020-2021 academic year. We are so happy to continue to build a resilient community together and invest education into our younger generation.
